If I'm eating 1400 and not losing weight, then I should cut my cals down to 1000.
Its okay to eat under 1200 if I make sure to eat plenty of fruit and veg.
Half of my plate should always be made up of vegetables.
I should be doing 30 minutes of cardio at least 5 times a week.
I should drink lots of water.
I should park my car further away and walk.
I shouldn't eat late in the evenings.
I should eat something light before exercising and afterwards.
My carb on the plate should be the size of my fist. If I still don't lose weight then I should cut it in half.
She offered to prescribe some fat blocking pills that will give me diarrhoea if I eat too much fat. I politely declined.
I should think about joining the local gym. Even though I was a member from October '10 to March '11, and that didn't make that much of a difference vs. doing DVD's at home.
She offered me a blood test to check my thyroid. I'm getting that done on Friday.
She didn't think my weight loss was particularly slow, and said at least my weight is going down.
As well as showing her a log of all my weigh ins, I showed her this list of my weight loss by month, which I think could easily be someone's weekly log.
July '10 = -3.5 pounds (1 week)
August '10 = 7.5
September '10 = -1.5
October '10 = -3.5
November '10 = -5
December '10 = +1
January '11 = -4.5
February '11 = -05
March '11 = -2.5
April '11 = 1.5
May '11 = -1
June '11 = -3
July '11 = -0
August '11 = -5
September '11 = -0.2
October '11 = -0.2
November '11 = -3
December '11 = -2.8
January '12 = -1
February '12(so far) = +1
So yeah, nothing was said that I didn't already know, and some things I didn't agree with, so really I don't think I've gained much from it, and I don't know what to do with myself! I'm actually hoping now that there is a thyroid issue, as it least it then gives me something tangible to work against. However if the test comes back negative I'm going to have to face up to the fact that my body doesn't work like the norm, and that I need to work a lot harder to get the results I want!
